Honey Moonshinin' in the Colorado Springs Independent

Reverb

Our beloved Haunted Windchimes have put the wraps on their latest chronicle of the 21st-century American folk song. By the name of Honey Moonshine, this future treasured artifact was engineered by the great Butch Hause (best known for his work with the great cowboy crooner Don Edwards) at the equally great Western Jubilee, and will first become available at a gala release event March 20 at Stargazers Theatre. Until then, you can visit hauntedwindchimes.com for a free download of their wonderfully melancholy rendition of the early 1930s Huddie Ledbetter masterpiece "Goodnight, Irene," as well as a video of the group performing the title track at Western Jubilee.

Recording at the Western Jubilee

Saying we had fun making this new album would be a gigantic understatement! The recording session for our new album Honey Moonshine was nothing short of magical.

The Western Jubilee is truly amazing and a crucial piece of musical history. We are honored to have set foot upon the stage of our musical heroes and ancestors. We are extremely proud of these songs and we can’t wait to share them with all of you! Special thanks to Scott O’Malley and sons, and the Western Jubilee family, and huge thanks to our album engineer and mentor Butch Hause. We’d also like to thank Bill Star for taking photos, Grant Sabin for lending us a guitar and all the wonderful people we met while making this album.

We have plenty of stories to share with ya’ll and we hope you’ll join us on March 20th at Star Gazers Theater in Colorado Springs CO for the CD release show!

Here is a lil' somthin' to hold you over until March...
